How to make a passport. What you need to know to get a new Bangladesh passport

We all know what a passport is.
script>6-a4a2-db562509a0cd"> inherit;">This thing is needed first of all if you want to go out of the country. In a word, a passport is a book by the government of the country with legal permission for the citizens of the country to go abroad, where visas are issued to different countries through different embassies. Bangladesh Passport is a book with the permission given by the Government of Bangladesh. The government issues three types of Bangladesh passports for the citizens of Bangladesh
  • International General Passport  (green cover)
  • Official Passport  (Blue Malate)
  • Diplomatic Passport  (Red Malaat)
There is a lot of confusion or even fear in the minds of many people about making Bangladesh passport. There is nothing wrong with that. You may be afraid of something you have never done. Moreover, the condition of government passport offices in Bangladesh is not at all unusual. In many cases, the reality is not as easy as it is written on official websites or various blogs about making a Bangladesh passport.

Maybe major districts like Dhaka, Chittagong or Sylhet are now well organized. Many people there are trying their best to serve the customers with the attitude of cooperation. But most of the other regional passport offices in the country are completely different. There are still irregularities as before and in some places you have to take shelter in irregularities if you want to finish the work in time. Otherwise you will get in unnecessary trouble and you will not get the passport on time.
But dear reader, there is no reason to be afraid. The more problems, the more solutions. I wrote this blog today to share my passport recently and the problems I encountered there, and how I got rid of them.

How to get a new Bangladesh passport

The process for those who want a brand new passport is different from the old passport holders. They have to start from the very beginning. I am writing down your steps step by step below. If you follow these steps in sequence, you can passport in the shortest time and in the least hassle.
Note that you can fill the passport form both online and offline. However, there is no difference in this case. The idea that you can get more benefits by filling out online is completely wrong. So you can fill out the form the way you want. Today I will talk about the process of getting a passport offline because most of the Bangladeshi passports in our country are still done offline.
Everything you need to get a new Bangladesh passport

Step-1 Submission of Bangladesh Passport Fee

The first step is to deposit money. This will start the process of making your passport. Apart from State Bank Sonali Bank, money can be deposited in these 5 banks.
  • Bank Asia
  • Trust Bank
  • Premier Bank
  • Dhaka Bank
  • One bank
Note that it would be better to deposit money at the bank branches in the area where you will get the passport from the regional passport office. Go to the bank and tell any counter that you want to deposit the passport fee. Then they will help you with a special slip to pay the passport fee. As well as carrying a national identity card, many officers may sometimes want to see it. The crowd at Sonali Bank is normal. So if you have any branch of the banks mentioned in your passport area then you can avoid the crowd. However, not all passport areas may have branches of those banks. But of course you will get Sonali Bank.
If you are not in a hurry, you can get a normal passport. It takes 21 days to get an ordinary passport. In this case, even if we talk about 21 days, in fact it is late in many cases. So it will take a month and a half, it would be wise to assume.
If you have an urgent need, you can get an urgent passport with an emergency fee. Passport should be received within 7 days. However, even if there is talk of 7 days, it may take at least 15 days to hold it.
  • Passport fee in general case 3000 rupees + 450 rupees VAT = total 3450 rupees.
  • In case of an emergency passport fee is 1 taka + VAT 1 taka = 1 taka total.
There is no higher cost for making an ordinary or emergency passport. Carefully save the passport fee receipt. Because if you lose it, you have to deposit money again and get a receipt.

Step - 2 Download the passport form

After that go to this address http://www.passport.gov.bd/ and download Bangladesh Passport Form. After going to the website, you will see that there is a button called Download Form. Hovering the mouse (cursor) over it will bring up a drop down menu. There you will find 2 forms called DIP Form-1 and DIP Form-2. By clicking you will just download the Bangladeshi passport form named DIP Form-1 . The screenshot below is given.
For your convenience, the form is also shown, if you wish, you can download it from here.   Open the form by clicking on the  DOWNLOAD PASSPORT FORM below. Then save the file in PDF / Adobe Acrobat Document format by right-clicking on Save As. Or by clicking on the download icon at the bottom of the form. Then print. Color or white black, you can print any way you want. Photocopies of the form are also acceptable. You will copy many at once.
(For those who fill up the form online, there is no need to download the form. Go to the above address, fill up the form online and then download the completed form. Then print. The only difference between online and offline form filling process is to complete the rest of the process. All the work of offline and online is one and there is no difference.)
** Many people can tell you that it is better to collect the form from the passport office. This is definitely a good piece of advice. But many regional passport offices in Bangladesh do not have the form. They don’t take action even after it’s over. In such a case, any applicant is asked to collect the form from the nearest photocopy shop. So if you forget to take the form for any reason and don't get the form in the office, don't panic. If you go to any photocopy shop nearby, you will get Bangladesh Passport Form.
Whichever way you take the form, be sure to keep multiple copies with you as the form will be discarded for any minor errors or omissions. And everyone can make mistakes, that's normal. So keep multiple copies of DIIP-1 form with you to avoid conflicts.

Step-3 Fill the passport form

At this stage you will fill the Bangladesh passport form. I have already said that you should keep more than one copy so that there is no mistake or quarrel. Now read the official guide embedded below and start filling the form. Carefully fill out the form with your National Identity Card and Educational Certificate in front of you. Be careful of spelling mistakes and give all the correct information. Wherever you have to sign, all your signatures should be the same and in the same language. If you sign somewhere in English and somewhere in Bengali, there will be a problem.

Step 3 - How to attach photo and receipt in Bangladesh Passport Form

When the form is filled in, you will need to put a picture with glue wherever you want to put the picture, and the money deposit receipt in the bank on the right side will also be glued. The picture shows how and where to put the picture and the receipt.

Step 4 - Photo attestation and form attestation in Bangladesh Passport Form

You will need a verification and a retraction after depositing the money deposit receipt in non-photo form. There is a part of the passport form where the certifier will certify using his information. This can be done by any government first class gazetted official who knows you. The same person will also attest a photocopy of your national identity card. In the certification part he will provide his name mobile, number and official seal.
Even if you don't know, there is no problem. You can also get the job done from any notary. Usually the regional passport offices and government courts are nearby. You will get many notaries next to the court. You will be able to get attestation and certification from him.

Step 5 - Submit Passport Form

Once the verification and certification work is done, it is your turn to submit your Bangladesh passport form. You do not need to go to the passport office before submitting the form. However, to submit, you must submit the completed form at your regional passport office. You must know the office address before leaving. At present , all the passport offices in the country have been renovated and many have been relocated to make machine readable passports . The submission form must be checked thoroughly once again.
Everything you need to know when submitting the form:
  • Attested and completed passport form with photo and receipt (DIP - 1 form) - 2 copies
  • Photocopy of National Identity Card - 2 copies
  • Verified copy of Citizen Charter issued by Upazila or Municipal Chairman - 2 copies
First the form will be submitted to a specific cell. There, your information will be taken from the form to the computer software. For this you may have to catch a long serial. Once your information is taken to the software you will be asked to go to another room with the form stamped on your form.

Step 6 - Photo and fingerprint in Bangladesh Passport

You have to catch the line to enter the next room. There the information from the form will be checked again with the information of the software. Then your fingerprints will be taken. A total of 4 fingerprints will be taken on the index finger and thumb of both hands. You will then need to sign a digital display (usually with a wax). You will sign the form here. Officers will then take your picture on the DSLR camera. (So it is better to get a little fresh before entering this room because there is usually no mirror comb inside.)
** Of course, shirts other than white will fall. Your picture will be taken in front of a white screen or board. So be sure to avoid white shirts. Many wear T-shirts or polo shirts to take pictures. That's not right. For a quality photo, you must wear a shirt with a collar.

Step - 6 - Passport token collection and verification

You will then be given a token. Token means a computer-printed paper containing your information, passport delivery date and more. You must check the token thoroughly before leaving the room. Because the information in your passport will come exactly as given in this token. So if you come across any mistake, immediately inform the passport officials. They will then be able to take all necessary measures.
Basically, the process of making your Bangladesh passport is over. The token must be carefully stored. Because you must have this token on the day of delivery of Bangladesh passport. A message will also be sent to your mobile number when the passport is made from Dhaka and arrives at your regional office again. From there you have to collect the Bangladesh passport in person. Usually the passport does not reach the regional office on the date mentioned in the token. In many cases, it is a little late. So it is better if you can bring the search before coming.
If you want to know the update process of your passport, you can do it in two ways: mobile SMS and online status check.
SMS service: Go to the message option of the mobile and write MRP <SPACE> EID NO and send it to 6969 to know the current status of the passport.
Online Services: In addition   , the current status of the passport can be found by going to www.passport.gov.bd and providing the EID and date of birth.
If the passport is ready or there is any problem in the application, the message will be sent to the mobile via SMS immediately.
However, in many cases these services may fail to give you accurate information. Due to the problem of police verification, work is mainly delayed. The work is done through the combined efforts of the two departments of Passport and Police. So if you do not find any news, wait patiently for a while. Or you can search at your respective police station or passport office.
There is no such thing as having to be an expert in making passports. But the whole process including filling up the Bangladesh passport form has to be completed in a perfect way, moreover you will get stuck somewhere. Then maybe the whole process will have to start all over again from the beginning. There are many who cannot fill the Bangladesh passport form. There are many who do not understand the issues of attestation or certification. Again it may be seen that he took very little time to the regional office, went and saw that it would be too late or there would be trouble. In these cases, you will see that many people go around the passport office to "help". In pure Bengal they are called 'brokers'. They are not always bad. In the real world, lumbering elephants are exposed by the aggression of speeding midgets. You have to give them some money in return. So if you think that doing things on your own can be a mistake, Then you can take their help. In most cases, they are accompanied by passport office officials. It turns out that the same thing can take a long time to submit or even be rejected. If the same thing is submitted through them, it will be seen that the work is being solved very quickly and easily. The matter is a little immoral but in practice it works. However, before starting work, you will have to pay according to the amount of work. And when filling out the form, you will say the names of father, mother, village or district with English spelling, because these people can also be wrong. All in all, if you work carefully and in the right way, you will be able to return home with a token in one day after finishing all the work starting from zero. However, before working with brokers, you must check it thoroughly. Many of them may be incompetent or dishonest. Then you can return home with tokens in one day after completing all the work starting from zero. However, before working with brokers, you must check it thoroughly. Many of them may be incompetent or dishonest.
Finally, I wish your Bangladesh passport to be completed safely, accurately and quickly.
